Part 1

France is known for its’ amazing cuisine and between shopping expeditions I made it a point to taste the culinary gems of Paris. So here is a list of some of our favorite dining experiences, what makes the experience a step above the rest, and their locations. Consider it my personal guide to the cuisine of Paris! I would never send you on a journey like this unprepared, though, so I’ve included the proper dress for each restaurant as well.

Saint Germain des Pres is located on the Rive Gauche or Left Bank of Paris. There are three restaurants that I want to highlight in this area that will drive your tastebuds wild!

Da Rosa Epicerie-Cantine A charming outdoor café focusing on meats and cheeses from Spain, Italy and Portugal. They have a beautiful store inside that features truffle and olive oils. The service is exceptional for Paris, the prices are fair, and the vantage of the outdoor tables provides the perfect setting for people watching. I've picked a gorgeous Gucci limited edition navy bag with red floral stitching to reflect the name of the restaurant which roughly translates to "From Rose;" this bag has the perfect casual air and feminine touch that suites this restaurant beatifully.

Café de Flore This café was a home away from home to many fashionable people throughout Paris’ history. Many artists, designers, writers and poets spent days dining and talking in the vintage Bistro. I've picked out these striking Art Deco diamond earrings to pay homage to this cafe's history and heyday.

Les Duex Magots Once a gathering place for the intellectual elite, this longstanding rival of Café de Flore serves up delectable classic dishes in an upscale bistro setting. (Some of our memories here were recorded in a past blog.) To stand out in this restaurant carry this white Fendi with some sparkle. Sit on the patio for fabulous people watching and perhaps your purse will catch some young Frenchman's eye!

RIGHT BANK/ RIVE DROIGHT:

Le Derriere (69 rue des Gravilliers) is a late 20-something looking apartment (down to the ping-pong table) converted to a restaurant. Grab a cocktail in the boudoir and be seated in the dining room for the special. Simple and trendy, this concept restaurant is all everyone is talking about in Paris. A vintage Rolex is the must-have hipster accessory at this mod restaurant.

L'Avenue is a restaurant where tourists and locals alike come to see and be seen. The waitresses gracefully serve full platters in tall heels and fashionistas abound. Part of the Costes brothers family of restaurants, the food is sure to please. Don't miss your opportunity to make your fashion statement in a place where it will get noticed; these Chanel Perfume Bottle Earrings pay respect to fashion history as well as show off your fashion forward attitude.
